I have a couple of things i'd like to say:
1. I love my street, it's super homely.
Whenever the weather is good (like these couple of weeks! I LOOOVE the sun!) all these kids start coming out with their skooters, bikes, skateboards, tennis balls. Whenever i drive past them, i just want to jump out of my car ask them if i could join their fun. I told my mom this when i was in the car, and then she was like, "then go"...uh ok mom. HAHAHA. It makes me feel so safe on my street, what's cool-er is that their parents watch them play, so the kids aren't like...having "unsafe" fun, as in, no supervision kind of fun. It reminds me when i was a kid...oh let me talk about this in my next point.
2. when I was a kid...
I lived in this..little villa place with like 60 houses but it was this "gated" community. It sounds like this robotic community or something, but it's not, the houses were built on big hills and all, so it was really nature ish. I grew up with a couple of young kids in that place, we use to go on "hiking" adventures, we would climb the hills, bury our dead bunnies on the hill in front of our houses, and bike around and play tennis. It was SOO fun. We use to make our own games and play with rocks and leaves. So primitive. But it's so much better than staying at home playing video games. I kind of feel sorry for the kids today that are so consumed with all these high tech robotic mechanical toys. I pity the fool. Just kidding. haha.
3. hitch hiker
Yesterday while driving genuine to somewhere on elgin mills and leslie, we saw this man HITCHHIKING! He was standing on the shoulder of a 70km/h max road trying to hitch a ride off of someone. Let me describe him a bit, he was white, red head, had a heavy moustache and long hair with a big beer-ish gut. He had NOTHING on him, no backpacks, no fanny packs, no luggage, not even pockets in his jeans (just kidding. haha). So as we were turning into the street he was standing beside, i locked the doors. I'm sorry, i felt bad. I feel bad for hitch hikers. As i was driving out, he was still there, and he looked so sad. So i started to think, where's the trust in people? the grace? I really don't know, i mean, is it wrong to think there's some kind of danger in receiving these people (hitch hikers) into your car? I felt bad, and i started to think about all these hitch hiker's horror stories back in the 1970s, and then i started to think about how media blows these stories out of portion, and how they only portray hitch hiking by presenting those horror stories so we just see the "bad" side of it. I also started to think about how the person felt watching cars after cars pass him by, not even slightly considering his well-being or giving him a ride. I don't know what to say of this. Hm...
4. Jacob Boutique
Yes, it's called boutique! I didn't know that before either! Yes! I quit! Yay...next week is my last week. I actually made a lot of really good friends there, so i will miss working there because i have so much fun with my cool friends. Girls can be cool, not all jacob girls are snobby (eg. me HA HA HA)
5. Kerygma...whaaa..????
I am SOOOOO excited for softball, i love softball. OMG I LOVE SOFTBALL! YAY!
I am looking forward to a wonderful season, i know it will be great. I am grateful for wonderful committee members...governesses, coach, assistant coach, head ump..and alllll the people in the team.. YAY! HO YEA!!
6. frappucino
This morning i worked out..a loot. I was so tired afterwards and i was sweating so much i looked like i ran out from the shower with my clothes on or something. EWWW. After that, i was like, "hm i want to go visit Anita at starbucks", so i went, she wasn't there, so i bought a frappucino and all the calories i burned from workout equalled zero. NOOOO. WHY did i even bother asking for whip cream? HAHAHA.
7. the greek fooodss
On monday, to celebrate my beautiful friend's steph's employment with very high salary, we (b, steph and i) went to eat! We love food. We decided to be spontaneous and went to a greek/mediterranean restaurant. When we got there, there was NOBODY in the restaurant, then when we sat down and opened our menus, we were like, "jow la, ging gwai" (let's go it's so expensive)...being the typical chinese people. But we stuck through and had a great meal. It was SOOO good i loooooooove ____stomala or something, it's some kind of red caviar dip. yummy!
8. summerr YAY!
I am super duper looking forward to summer~~ closer and deeper understanding with my family, the books i will read, the children that will come to know the Lord (VBC, manitoba), the friendships that will grow tighter, the tans we will get, the missionaries that will bring many to the Lord (Amanda, Cheryl, Garway, Will, etc. etc.), the cheers we will shout (a looot), the smiles we will smile (they're free from mcdonalds haha), the pictures i will take, the fitness-ness of my body (such an awkward sentence) and everything. so many things. I am grateful. The Lord is good. :)

hey gendi! it's been a while since i visited your blog.. well anyway.. it's so true about the whole world being so suspicious of everyone now... but it's just something that just is... i mean.. you could leave your doors open.. help these people out but then what will happen if you get hurt? i'unoo.. yeah that's just how things are. you can choose to be the person that picks up hitchhikers.. because there are people that do that.. but i guess you have to be prepared because the person you picked up may have other intentions..anyway.. your childhood neighborhood sounds awesome.. i wish i grew up in a place like that.. instead i got barbies and tv
:D i like your blogs gen gen! hehe... it's so much more interesting filled with entries than a blank screen... >.<
