OKAY, first thing...if anyone plans to move ANYTIME SOON..maybe in two months or so...
START PACKING!
you have NO IDEA how long it takes to jup your stuff....at first i thought i could just swipe all my stuff off the desk, off the book shelf into boxes, but NO!
Here's the thang: (haha "thang")
So we had to move everything out of the old house by monday and hand the house by tuesday...
I didnt' start cleaning my room till the friday before...and we started cleaning the freaking dirty basement the wednesday before..and well...we just didn't start packing anything till the week before.
ANYWAY we already started loading boxes and some furnitures into the house the week before..we thought we were so "on time" and prepared...OMG NO BOY WERE WE WRONG.
On monday the moving people came to move our big furnitures (three buff dudes...one was pretty hot..HAHAHA) and they were so strong, okay. So after they moved everything, we still had so many things to clean..the bathroom, kitchen, rooms..and there were still little things dangling everywhere...after the guys left we stayed there to pack and my parents left the place at 6am! They didn't really sleep...but my bro's and i left earlier moo ha ha ha...but there were still so much crap at the house, so for the whole tuesday my parents and stuff attempted to clean the house, while i was at school (i felt so bad).
we couldn't finish b/c we had so much CRAP. So we asked the owner if she could give us two more days..so okay
we just cleaned and cleaned and dumped and dumped and vacuumed and vacuumed (my aunt lent us her vacuum cleaner..it was SOO FUN to vacuum...and voila we finally finished last night.
yay! Now i miss my old house booo...
MANNNNNNNNN THERE WAS SO MUCH CRAP i still couldn't get over it, LITERALLY CRAP. SO MUCH MICE CRAP it was GROSS, i was telling my bro how the mice sucks b/c they eat our stuff and they leave their crap for us to clean..ugh so mad. but it was fun to vacuum the crap
Maybe it's just our family that has so many things...my parents had so many clothes, and when we moved here from hk our maids just put everything into boxes...they even put my garbage can in hk with the garbage in it, like..what the heck? haha okay well yeah.
Therefore, my moving experience tells me to do such, next time:
a) pack early
b) keep house clean ALL THE TIME to avoid so much crappage clean up when move
c) be humble (like how i thought i could handle the packing last minute, boy was i wrong)
d) eat more protein, b/c you're lifting so many heavy things, you can get buff
e) take a shower all the time, afterwards, apply 5 inches of lotion to your o-so-chapped hands
f) take a lot of pictures
interesting things:
i) we used almost 200 garbage bags
ii) my mom has this habbit of keeping plastic bags....we filled two BIG boxes (around 5ft boxes) of them...or more i think...bag within bag, another bag within another bag...
iii) we bought goldfishes two months ago and they died within a week, so my bro just dumped the dead fishes, the water and the rocks onto the backyard lawn (his explanation was it was too gross to clean the green sutff)...they're still lying there as i speak haha
iv) you're not allowed to use those garbage disposals behind schools...we actually put majority of our garbage there...but somebody found out yesterday and yelled at us
Things to be grateful for:
1. God for keeping us safe throughout this moving and making it possible for us to clean that filthy house =) i loooove you
2. prayers and thoughts from friends and family, i love you guys
3. my auntie, auntie mary (and family), and some other auntie's that helped us clean up
4. for this uncle (ken) who lent us a van to use, he saved our lives (and A LOT ofour time)
5. digicam, for the memories, i love you digicam, so much
6. salvation army for accepting so much of our stuff, i love salvation army
