bro: "hey isn't the place that ryan [in the OC] came from called Chico?"
me: "uh..no..it's Tico"
(long pause of silence)
me: "uh..wait..Tico is the squirrel in Dora the Explorer"
bro: "yeah so it IS CHICO"
me: "why does it sound kind of wrong?"
bro: "I don't know...it's Chico!"
me: "wait...is it Reeno? or wait! isn't it the Bronx?"
bro: "NO! it's CHICO!"
me: "oh yeah it's Chico! You're right, it's Chico!....chico chico chico...."
(few days later it still bothered me a lot...it sounded so weird and wrong...doesn't Chico mean "friend"in spanish or something?)
one day i was picking up this piece of special k flake that i dropped on the floor while pouring it into my bowl (for breakfast)...
...and then it dawned on me
